The Guernsey Press have been crowned Guernsey's sharpest media minds, bringing an end to their long wait to regain the Orchard Media Quiz title. Not since 2008 have the Press taken home the top prize, Channel TV and BBC Guernsey having shared the honours since then.

This year though, God Knows We're Quizerable Now, featuring Nick Mann, Claire Menzies, Colin Leach, Gareth Le Prevost, Yvonne Blundell and James Falla triumphed in a hotly contested battle of intellects.

They left it late, playing their joker on the sports round and nudging ahead of two teams from BBC Guernsey, Quizzy Bougord and Amanda Quizola, and keeping their noses in front of the Radio Warriors from Island FM who also mounted a late challenge, only to fall short and finish in 3rd place for the second year running.

The IT(V) Crowd and Orchard PR's own team finished comfortably in mid-table while there was a fierce battle for the wooden spoon which was only settled when an unprecedented zero score on the final round for Denise Quizatre from the BBC allowed the Guernsey Press' other team, Luke Richardson and the Wooden Spooners, to ease ahead of them and avoid the ignominy of the booby prize.
