Client services director Brooke is always on the hunt for the next client opportunity and drives the team’s creative development to deliver inspirational ideas for new and existing clients. Her thirst to remain at the forefront of the industry means she’s regularly in London as part of PR Week’s ‘Women in PR’ mentoring scheme, which inspires the next generation of female PR leaders. Brooke’s passion for public relations started at a young age, and led to her gaining a degree in the subject. She takes part in a number of initiatives to inspire young people to enter the profession, and is a committee member of the CIPR Channel Islands group.

Operations director Chris has an eye for detail and a passion for new technology. He drives innovation at Orchard and ensures that all of Orchard’s systems are streamlined and effective, allowing our team to manage accounts and report to clients quickly and efficiently. His love of technology and expertise advising clients in a variety of sectors makes Chris our resident social media and online expert, and he regularly delivers training in effective online communications to clients and the wider business community. Outside of work, he sits on the board of directors for local charity the Guernsey Sailing Trust and can regularly be found enjoying Guernsey’s waters.

Harriet Black MCIPR Dip CIPR
Currently on maternity leave, Harriet is an account director and member of the senior team at Orchard. She has a degree in media and public relations and has completed the CIPR diploma in public relations. She manages a diverse portfolio of clients across the Crown Dependencies and is often in the Isle of Man visiting clients. Harriet is a CIPR Accredited Practitioner was named in PR Week’s Top 30 under 30 list for 2015. She was also shortlisted for Outstanding Young Communicator in the 2014 South of England and Channel Islands CIPR Pride Awards. Harriet is a notorious trashy TV fan and is a passionate supporter of the Welsh rugby team.

Dan Gallienne MCIPR
Dan started Orchard life as an account executive and is now an account director with responsibility for clients across financial services, property, telecoms and the legal sector. The winner of a Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation Rising Star Award, Dan’s grasp of topics from wealth management to 5G networks along with his keen eye for grammatical accuracy and passion for puns make him an accomplished wordsmith. Dan is a committee member of the local CIPR group and, outside of work, is a keen runner and spends much of his summers knee-deep in mud at music festivals.

Digital Content Director
Digital content director Mike joined Orchard PR after spending more than 15 years working for the BBC. He is a well-known figure in our region having presented the BBC Channel Islands news. With an eye for content that engages an audience, Mike is always looking for strategic ways of using video and digital content to help clients connect with their target audience. He brings with him a wealth of journalistic and broadcasting experience and is a key member of our media training team. Prior to working in journalism and PR, Mike was a usability management consultant and maintains a keen interest in technology. Away from work, Mike plays the piano (badly) and still thinks he can play football.

Laura Stoddart MCIPR
Laura’s passion for public relations first started when she did an internship at Orchard PR in 2014 while completing her degree in Events Management with French at Regent’s University. She has returned to Orchard to cover Harriet’s maternity leave having gained a wealth of experience working for companies including Specsavers and Lagardère Sports & Entertainment. Laura managed the Specsavers magazine for three years and worked on a variety of PR campaigns and events, including frame launches for Disney and Hype and the 2016 UEFA Paris FanZone for the European Championships. Laura is a keen traveller, having lived in France for several years, and is always planning her next adventure.

Lindsey is an independent consultant working with the Orchard team to help our clients to define, develop and deliver their strategic business goals through creative communication campaigns. She is a former broadcast journalist who returned to Guernsey in 2017 after a decade in London working with leading agencies including Ogilvy, freuds, H+K Strategies and Saatchi & Saatchi. She has a passion for helping brands to define their narrative, and has delivered successful global campaigns for the likes of Volvo, Huawei, Levi’s, KFC and Kimberly Clark.

Megan Thoume MCIPR
Digital Content Executive
Megan develops, edits, plans and produces a variety of innovative digital content to enhance Orchard’s digital offering. This includes creating videos, images, designs and infographics for use online, at events and on social media. She uses her skills to implement social media and digital marketing initiatives and manages day-to-day campaigns as well as supporting colleagues on a range of clients. Megan has a degree in Media Production from the University of Winchester and first joined Orchard as an intern. Soon after she became a permanent member of the team and has subsequently completed the CIPR Professional Certificate. In her free time, you’ll find Megan relaxing in the sun with a glass of prosecco or binge watching a series on Netflix.

Senior Account Executive
Emily joined Orchard after spending six years in London where she worked at Esteé Lauder Companies for MAC Cosmetics. While at MAC, she project managed the brand’s involvement at large scale events, such as Laurence Olivier Awards and British Independent Film Awards. She backstage managed at London Fashion Week and contributed to brand focus campaigns and social media initiatives. In her spare time she combines her social expertise with her love of food by sharing recipes and creations on her Instagram page.

Emily Jaques MCIPR
Emily is a graduate of the University of Winchester, holding a degree in English. She has previously worked for the States of Guernsey and joined Orchard after a six month stint in Cambodia where she taught English to women rescued from trafficking as well as setting up evening classes for the local community. Alongside a passion for travelling Emily enjoys walks on the beach with her dog and reading everything from classic novels to biographies.

Chris Leaman FCert PRCA
Junior Account Executive
Chris is part of the account executive team having joined the company soon after graduating from the business studies course at the Guernsey College of Further Education. Chris is currently completing the final stage of his PR apprenticeship and is part of several teams supporting a variety of clients in the finance and technology sectors. He has a strong passion for sport, especially football, and plays several times a week – so if you can’t find Chris at the office he’ll likely be on the pitch.

Francesca graduated from Loughborough University with a first-class BSc Psychology degree and has spent the last three years working with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for the NHS before returning to the island. Responsible for the Hampshire CAMHS Eating Disorder Clinic’s database and conducting initial assessments for the service, Francesca’s report writing and data analysis skills transfer well into her career in public relations. Her hobbies include swimming, going to the gym and playing piano.
