We’re in fashion

As a local company in a tight-knit community we know the difference that good public relations work can make to the success of an event. That’s why we offered our services to the good people at the Teenage Cancer Trust Guernsey Appeal (TCT), who are organising a fashion show with the proceeds being split between themselves and The HUB.

Charities such as the TCT are run by teams of dedicated volunteers and when they decide to put on an event on the scale of a fashion show a little bit of extra support can go a long way. Orchard’s newest recruit, Megan, and I have worked with the TCT to maximise the publicity around the event with news releases and photographs for the local media, coordinating media attendance at the show and organising interviews in the lead up – all pillars of a good PR campaign.

The show itself is taking place at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts from 7.30pm on Friday 31 March and tickets are only £10 each. The latest fashions from Creasey’s, Sail or Surf, Freelove, Inanna and Jack Wills will be worn by models who have suffered from cancer and some who have benefited from The HUB’s services.

Local band Kings will be performing, ITV Channel’s very own John Fernandez will be hosting (but not modelling, thankfully… only joking John) and the whole things is sponsored by local salon Josef’s.

At Orchard we like to use our expertise to help out worthy causes when we can and this seemed like a great opportunity to let our skills hit the catwalk for the Teenage Cancer Trust. So get yourself a ticket and get along to the Performing Arts Centre for a great night out and to support two amazing causes.

Tickets are available now from all participating shops.
